Through Skeena’s geographical location and diversity of terrain, we consistently enjoy one of the lowest number of down days in the industry. So our clients ski more.

Getting there

Skeena Heliskiing is located only 3 hours from Vancouver and 4 hours Calgary! Direct flights are available from Vancouver International Airport and via Prince George from Calgary International Airport. From here you are collected by the van shuttle for the 1½ hr drive to the lodge.

You can fly from Vancouver to Smithers with Air Canada and Hawk Air and from Calgary with Central Mountain Air.

We recommend if you are coming from Europe to Vancouver, flying with a Star Alliance carrier, to book the connection flight to Smithers with Air Canada. That will insure that all flights are on the same ticket. This will make things easier if there are any delays, as well on your return trip, you can check in your luggage in Smithers and it will go direct to Europe, with no need to handle it in Vancouver.

Recommended flight Times

We recommend that you arrive in Smithers on the Thursday evening and stay overnight at the Hudsons Bay Lodge in Smithers (They provide airport shuttles for free) and we will pick you up at the hotel on Friday morning. This will redce the risk of any lost heliskiing if you are delayed a day and you will arrive early at Skeena Heliskiing and you can get an additional ½ day of skiing in. Pick up schedules on Fridays are: 10:00 AM Hudsons Bay Lodge and 10:30 Smithers Airport.
